Water is one of the most important thing to sustain life on Earth, without water we can’t survive. As healthy food & physical activity is important for Healthy body water is also equally important for incarnating health. Water is very important for us in life because it is basically a very significant component of the protoplasm. Our 70% of the body is filled with water which is more than 2/3rd part of the whole body. A person can survive for several days only on water without any food, but with no water duration can be too short.
Water is involved in every bodily function from digestion and circulation through to the control of body temperature and the excretion of waste products. The water in our bodies is continually being used or lost from the body. Some is used or absorbed by the functions it performs and some is lost through sweat, urine.
What’s the right quantity?
We should drink adequate quantities of water every day to keep our bodies hydrated. General thumb rule 8 to 10 glasses of water each day for healthy young men. , but how much water you need varies, depending on how active you are and what type of climate you live in, among other things. Even if you’re not very active or live in a humid climate, you lose water every day through your breath, sweat, pee, and bowel movements. Like adults, how much water children need depends on many things, like their age, how much they weigh, and their gender. Other things that play a role include how healthy and active they are, and what the climate is like where they live.
So based upon your age, gender, climatic region & activity level identify your need and ensure sufficient intake of water.
When is the right time?
One should follow certain routine for drinking water in order to maximize its effectiveness on your body.
After waking up – First thing in morning, Drink 1 to 2 glass of water minimum after waking up to help activate your internal organs. The water will help to remove any toxins before your first meal of the day.
Before a meal – Drink one glass of water 30 minutes before a meal to help digestion. Remember not to drink too soon before or after a meal as the water will dilute the digestive juices. Drink water an hour after the meal to allow the body to absorb the nutrients.
Before a bath – Drink one glass of water before taking a bath to help lower your blood pressure.
Before sleep – Drink one glass of water an hour before bedtime to replenish any fluid loss that can occur during the night.

Drink lukewarm or hot water instead of ice cold water.
